With 46 days left before the departure of the Route du Rhum, the official appointments related to the solo transoceanic regatta have begun. Today Alberto Bona, together with all the skippers registered for the race, joined the launch press conference of the event, held at the Mogador Theater in Paris.
“Being here today is fantastic”, commented Alberto. “Now we have officially entered the last pre-regatta phase which – in addition to technical preparation and maximum concentration – also includes the opportunity of starting to share this event with the other skippers registered for the Route du Rhum. Today’s atmosphere was one of great anticipation, and a sense of pride in having secured a place on that exceptional and unique starting line”. Tomorrow, Bona will be at the Genoa Boat Show and, at 5:00 pm, he will be a guest of journalist and writer Fabio Pozzo at the Teatro del Mare, on the occasion of the meeting L’Oceano a vela (“Sailing the Ocean”), which – in addition to Alberto’s – will also benefit from the presence of ocean sailors Andrea Fantini, Francesca Clapcich and Marco Trombetti.
