Also this year will take place the traditional End-of-summer regatta of the Circolo Velico Lago di Lugano (CVLL), that from this edition takes the name of IBSA Cup.
Indeed, IBSA will be the main sponsor of the event, which will be held on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 August.Valid as second stage of the Ticino Sailing Dinghy Championship, the competition attracts many sailors from local circles: in fact, about thirty boats will be involved, from different sailing classes – including Optimist, Laser and Hansa 303 – for a total of about 150 participants. Athletes from Associazione Velabili – the CVLL organisation that promotes inclusive sailing activities for people with cognitive, physical and sensory disabilities – will participate too, racing on board the Hansa 303s which, for the occasion, will hoist the sails of the Hansa 303s donated by IBSA to the sailing clubs of Punta Ala and Cap d’Antibes.
Just over a month after the finish of the legendary Rolex Fastnet Race, the skipper of IBSA’s project Sailing into the Future. Together – Alberto Bona – will also be attending the sporting event, to then resume his preparation for the Transat Jacques Vabre, which will start next October 29.
