Alberto Bona’s victory of the Class40 Championship on board IBSA concludes an intense and successful sporting season, carried out with great commitment and determination, but it is also an opportunity to consider the path undertaken by IBSA and Alberto with the project Sailing into the Future. Together, which is about to enter its third year of activity.
From the launch in La Trinité-sur-Mer (Brittany) in August 2022 to the highest step of the podium among the Class40s in November 2023: in just 16 months Bona – a rookie in the Class40 – collected great accomplishments and gratifications, achieving all the objectives he had set himself. “We knew it would be challenging”, commented Alberto, “but we set ourselves the goal of winning the Class40 championship and giving good continuity to the season, and we are really proud of our success”.
A great satisfaction also for IBSA, which supported Bona from the beginning of this adventure:“An extremely easy-going guy”,remarked Antonio Melli, Vice President IBSA Group,“Alberto has however a remarkable inner strength, as well as the innate ability to engage those around him as a team”.
