IBSA and Alberto Bona make the news

09 May 2022

IBSA’s name associated with sailing, an important environmental and social sustainability project, skipper Alberto Bona’s celebrity: many are the elements that catch the journalists’ attention. And this is how Sailing into the Future. Together is making its way among the news of the major Italian maritime media, and beyond.

Officially launched on the occasion of the Sport For Nature Awards 2022, the project has been awarded for the commitment of the pharmaceutical group in the field of inclusive sailing, which consist of initiatives – in collaboration with some Italian, Swiss and French Yacht Clubs – aimed at giving the chance to practice this sport to people with disabilities. From IlSole24Ore.com to AffarItaliani.it, from LaStampa.it to AdnKronos.com, IBSA’s sporting initiative was told highlighting the company’s commitment and everything beyond sailing and healthcare. A solo ocean race such as the prestigious Route Du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe – which will start in November and in which skipper Bona will participate with an IBSA-branded Class40 – is above all a challenge with the sea and with oneself; but it is also a metaphor for going beyond, navigating towards the future. And IBSA has always embodied this perspective, promoting and choosing to associate its name with initiatives that see it as a protagonist both in sport and in the social field, and always close to People.

With an ambassador like Alberto Bona – a well-known skipper in the sector – even nautical magazines have shown great interest in this international sailor, engaged in an athletic and mental preparation in view of the Route Du Rhum in November, as told – for example – by Vento and Vele di Gazzetta.it

The Route Du Rhum is a demanding ocean regatta, in which Alberto will compete with a boat that IBSA is building according to the most modern and innovative technologies: a Class40, a powerful, versatile, fast, ergonomic boat, optimised just for the November regatta, which will start from Saint-Malo. But before setting sail from Brittany, Alberto is preparing and training, also participating in other solo regattas within the Championnat Figaro de France Elite de Course au large. And these stages of his preparation are being well narrated by online magazines ItaliaVela.it, Pressmare.it, FareVela.it, as well as in detailed articles published in paper magazines such as Bolina, Vela e Motore, Il Giornale della Vela, just to name a few.
