Just over three months left to the start of the Route du Rhum 2022 and Alberto Bona, together with the team of the project Sailing into the Future. Together, continue to work tirelessly to finalise the new IBSA Class40 down to the smallest detail to optimise the preparation for one of the world’s most challenging regattas.
Pride and enthusiasm animate all the people involved in this great endeavour which, beyond the sporting adventure, shows IBSA’s will and commitment spreading a positive message through sport: that is, the message of respect for the environment and social inclusion. In a nutshell, Luca Crippa – CEO and Managing Director of IBSA Farmaceutici – summarised the spirit of the whole project, where the company’s core values and activities are intertwined with those of sailing. A bond that pivots around a combination of innovation and sustainability.
Behind every step of the team there is a daily involvement made of commitment, effort and concentration, and IBSA’s determination to launch a boat equipped with all the most innovative and cutting-edge tools, from the hull to the sails, up to the navigation systems. The goal is to allow its skipper to start with a powerful and fast boat, capable of excellent performance and able to best exploit the force of wind and nature.
And then, there is the human side, which looks at sustainability and social responsibility. And it’s precisely here that IBSA conveys the need to think also of the community, to create opportunities for involvement, dialogue and exchange of views on diversity through the inclusive sailing initiatives carried out in collaboration with some sailing centres in Switzerland, France and Italy.
